The Ailsa Course at Turnberry is considered to be one of the most scenic courses that Europe has to offer. It is located right next to the Firth of Clyde, with craggy rocks and superb views across the Mull of Kintyre and the Isle of Arran. The close came close to extinction on two occasions in the 20th century, as it was used as an airbase in both World Wars. Phillip Mackenzie Ross then spent two hard years returning the course to its former glory and it reopened for play in 1951.
Stormy managed to finish joint 39th at Royal Birkdale last year taking home 20,830.93 euros. However he will be hoping to do even better north of the border this year.
