Stormy's Career
From a young age Graeme Storm has made his mark on the world of golf. From playing for the English Boys team, to securing an invitation to play in the European Team for the prestigious Royal Trophy, he is without a doubt one of the best golfers in the UK and Europe.
His numerous successes and achievements since picking up a golf club at a young age illustrate his talent which is sure to secure many more victories in the years to come.

Walker Cup Team 1999
Graeme was a member of the victorious Walker Cup team in 1999. The team which consisted of a number of golf’s future stars including Paul Casey, Luke Donald & Simon Dyson were victorious with Graeme sinking the putt to secure the winning title for GB & Ireland.
Challenge Tour 2004
Following his Walker Cup success Graeme turned professional in 2000. In 2004 Graeme finished 3rd on the Challenge Tour this saw him qualify immediately on the European Tour following some impressive results.

After graduating from the Challenge Tour and since turning professional Graeme has built on his amateur successes and established himself as one of the most formidable and consistent players on the European Tour.

Graeme’s European Tour Rankings and Prize Money
In 2007 Graeme secured a European Tour Prize fund of over €1.2 million which secured his end of season place as 16th on the European Tour Order of Merit. He was the 5th highest ranked English golfer after Justin Rose, Lee Westwood, Nick Dougherty and Paul Casey. He also was just ‘pipped at the post’ for 15th position on the Order of Merit by Spanish star Sergio Garcia.
Graeme in the Majors
In addition to enjoying the experience of playing in European Tour events around the world, following his continued successes, Graeme has participated in all 4 Major Championships.
- US PGA Championship: Graeme participated in the 2007 US PGA Championship. At this headline event Graeme, which included the world’s best golfers, including Tiger Woods, Graeme lead the competition by 2 shots on the opening round after shooting an impressive 65.
- Masters: Following becoming 1999 Amateur Champion, Graeme qualified for the Masters. He made history at the event as his mother Jane is still the only mum in Masters history to caddie for her son in the tournament!
- Open Championship: Graeme has qualified for the Open Championship in 1999, 2005, and 2007. Following his high ranking finish on the European Tour Order of Merit in 2007 he will participate in the 137th Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in 2008.

Storm Secures Maiden European Tour Victory

On the 1st July 2007 Graeme Storm secured his debut European Tour victory at the prestigious Open de France ALSTOM at Le Golf National. Graeme came from 5 strokes behind to secure the title by a stroke from Soren Hansen. This wonderful performance sent Graeme home with EUR 666,660 in prize money which contributed to a final 2007 European Tour Prize Fund of over EUR 1,200,000. His victory has given Graeme 2 years exemption on the European Tour in addition to qualification for the 2007 Open Championship and the WGC—Bridgestone Invitational.
Storm Part of Victorious Seve Trophy Team
Graeme was rewarded for his continued strong performances and successes as, following his final rankings on the European Tour Order of Merit, he qualified to represent Great Britain and Ireland at the 2007 Seve Trophy where he played alongside team-mates Paul Casey, Colin Montgomerie and Nick Dougherty. The team, which was captained by Nick Faldo, is regarded as a highlighted Ryder Cup warm-up event. The team secured victory against the best players in Europe and Graeme received the ‘player of the day’ awards on day 1 of the competition and ‘shot of the day’ on day 2. He followed this up with a fantastic final day singles performance in beating Europe’s Thomas Bjorn 6&5.
Royal Trophy Selection
In the winter of 2007, Graeme was selected by team captain Seve Ballesteros to represent Europe against Asia in the Royal Trophy. The ‘Battle of the Continents’ is in its third year and its reputation and status as an event has grown substantially since it was established in 2006. It is run in a similar format to that of the pinnacle of team golf, the Ryder Cup.
Graeme enjoys WGC at Bridgestone Invitational
Following his victory at the Open de France ALSTOM Graeme qualified for the WGC Bridgestone Invitational during which he enjoyed playing alongside Tiger Woods, Justin Rose, Ernie Els, and Padraig Harrington.
